The JAC joined President Preckwinkle, IDHS Assistant Secretary of the Office of Firearm Violence Prevention, Quiwana Bell, and representatives from the awarded organizations to announce and celebrate the grant awards. Leaders discussed the promising downward trend in shootings and the importance of sustaining funding to ensure continued progress towards enduring safety.
